The Letterman drama just won’t stop.
Today (October 5) the New York Post quotes unidentified sources as saying that after Dave Letterman broke up with his young assistant (Stephanie Birkitt), he couldn’t stand being around her new boyfriend Robert “Joe” Halderman, the CBS producer now charged with trying to extort money from the talk show host.
“He wanted Stephanie there, not Halderman — he didn’t like him,” one source says.
That said, it seems the likeliness of a sexual harrassment lawsuit is dwindling. “I would be shocked if someone came forward” with a sexual-harassment complaint, this insider adds. “I’ve worked in a lot of places, and [Late Show] is one of the better places for a woman. Dave’s not a groper.”

I went from hating Dave to feeling sorry for him. It cannot be easy being a high profile celeb. First the kidnapping thing and now extortion. Time for retirement!
