JAMES FRANCO DOWNGRADES TO SOAP STAR

James Franco….soap star?

The 31-year-old star of The Pineapple Express is set to guest star on ABC’s General Hospital in a role starting November 20.

And it’s not just a one-day thing. The recurring role will begin November 20 — to coincide with November sweeps — and will last about two months.

Says executive producer Jill Farren Phelps: “It’s an honor that an actor of Franco’s caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles.”

I read in the soap opera mag that this is something new he wants to try so why not..

Glen Close and Academy award winner and
Alec Baldwin Gary Sinse are all movie stars
that went to tv… it is just a short time
and it is something he wanted to do..

Considering they’re willing to work around his Columbia schedule, I don’t think its a step down. He’s able to perform his craft, the medium is incidental.
