Following his address to an audience of more than 15 000 people in Calgary yesterday (September 30), the Dalai Lama placed a scarf around the neck of Grey’s Anatomy actress Sandra Oh.

The Tibetan Buddhist spiritual leader brought his message of peace to the Pengrowth Saddledome on Wednesday afternoon as part of a two-day visit for a University of Calgary conference called NOW.

Miss Oh, who has been studying Buddhism, helped host the event and said before the conference that she couldn’t wait to see him. “Rock star — we’re talking rock star.”
