BARACK TO BRAD: THANKS BUT NO THANKS

Has Brad Pitt offered to campaign for Barack Obama? And has Obama turned him down? That sure seems to be the case…
When the socially conscious star offered to help the Democratic contender’s presidential campaign, he was turned down, our sources report.

The overture was made through intermediaries, and it’s not known whether the Illinois senator was even aware of Pitt’s offer to make appearances on his behalf.

Obama’s advisers felt Pitt was “a great guy,” said a knowledgeable source, but they didn’t want their candidate - who already has the endorsements of Pitt pals George Clooney and Matt Damon - to appear to be “too Hollywood.”

What’s more, as politically correct as Pitt’s partner, Angelina Jolie, is now, the source ruminated that it might be hard for some Americans to forget that she used to wear a vial of blood around her neck.

Pssh….it’s always the same story. Blame the woman!

    I think it is best for stars to stay the hell out of it. I can’t stand that they think since they have chosen a candidate that we all should choose them also. All these rich people can start by paying the same taxes that all of us middle class people do and quit with the loop holes and tax shelters.

    hollywood endorsements aren’t the problem. an apathetic and astonishingly ignorant public is — and we will be paying the price for decades to come for these bush years.

    I agree my2cents. Celebs need to stay in their fucking lane! The last thing I want is for some celebutard (who left his wife to marry the Ice Queen) telling ME about campaign issues and how to vote. Brad (and his celeb friends) need to shut the hell up and look pretty for the camera.
