First Lady Michelle Obama is among the many who have converged in Copenhagen today (September 30) for a final push to get the International Olympic Committee to award the 2016 Games to their cities.
Mrs. O. planned to meet with IOC members this afternoon and tomorrow, and she’ll attend Chicago’s welcome bash with none other than Oprah. Why Oprah? “She’s Oprah; enough said,” Mrs. Obama told reporters yesterday. At the end of this week, she and hubby Barack Obama will both be part of Chicago’s final presentation to IOC members.
“We’re not going to sing together or anything,” Mrs. Obama said recently, according to the AP. “I don’t know if I can elaborate any more without giving away too much of it. … All I have are my stories, my experiences as a Chicagoan, as an American, as someone who believes deeply that health and fitness have got to play a greater role in the lives of our kids and our communities, and as someone who believes that the Olympic and Paralympic Games will be the best way to bring that message home.”
The IOC will decide the winning city on Friday.

Just like the socialist pukes not listening to the American People.
TRIB POLL: Residents evenly split on Olympics, 45% in favor, 47% against…
And it keeps getting higher on the against part.
They dont give a rats ass about none of us
Its awesome we have a President and First Family that is loved and respected international, for a change!
Hmmm… maybe we should be focusing on the recent rise in violent crime and murder among youth in the Chicago area instead of these upcoming Olympics? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23824652/
i’m so sick of seeing obamas wherever i look. all they do is fly around accomplishing NOTHING.
Will these people get of the stage already.
Who the hell would want to visit the MOST VIOLENT and CRIME RIDDEN CITY in America.
An total economic failure for the city, except for those in power. Jarrett, Oprah, Rezko…
The IOC doesn’t stand a chance against “Chicago style thugocracy”.
Even Chicago doesn’t want the games.
Chicago will not be disappointed a lot if the Olympics goes somewhere else in 2016. It is one of the greatest cities in the World and will always have a good chance at hosting the Olympics. Chicago made dreams come true for many.
I think she could have waited and taken a flt on AF1 with the president, and not took separate airplanes. $$$$$$$
better to be feared than loved.
