A story earlier today had Nicole Richie puffing away on cigarettes on more than one occasion over the past week in New York City.
Juicy story, but there’s only one problem — the mum-to-be wasn’t even in the country!
Richie’s rep tells Extra that accounts of Richie smoking are “irresponsible and untrue.” And while columnist Cindy Adams claims Richie lit up outside New York restaurants DaSilvano and Nobu (with fiance and father-to-be Joel Madden, even), Richie and Madden are reportedly abroad and nowhere near New York.
Umm…duh!!! Did anyone even believe that story for a second?!? Old bag Cindy Adams is from the ‘Geraldo’ days. Her only source these days is her gerontologist!

very good to hear. I wouldn’t have been surprised if Nicole smoked a couple of cigs, but I’m glad she didn’t.

Even if she is smoking, it’s no one else’s business. The cig police need to get over themselves.

Who believes a publicist? They are paid liars. Not saying she was smoking but the old “they aren’t even in the country” is far too convenient. That said, I thought it was odd there were no photos of her smoking. If so many people saw it, the paps would have sold the pics somewhere.
That’s good to hear! That would be awful if she had succumbed to smoking while she is pregant. I think she’s got a bit more sense than doing that though. She really seems to have cleaned up her act since she fell pregnant. She looks really pretty here as well! Lover her hair like that!
