Enjoying a family day out, Jennifer Garner and her mother-in-law Chris Affleck celebrated the coming of autumn with Violet and Seraphina Affleck today (September 29).
The Affleck-Garner ladies could be seen paying a visit to an orchard near Boston, Massachusetts where they enjoyed some apple picking, animal petting and a hay ride!
And while family patriarch Ben Affleck was busy at work yet again, his doting wife has revealed that she plays rounds of scrabble with the actor/director.
“My husband Ben and I love nothing more than a night of playing Scrabble,” says Jen. “It gets quite serious. I always have a dictionary on my lap in case I need to look up a word, but I don’t cheat — honestly!”
Jen’s new critically-praised comedy, The Invention of Lying, opens Friday.

Sigh. I do admire her keeping it real with her kids. But like it or not, she’s a public figure and needs to put a little more thought and effort into her appearance, even on her “mom days”. Sweet baby jesus, I wouldn’t be caught dead looking like that to mow the lawn.
I think Stacy and Clinton need to stage an emergency intervention.
