The New York Post reports that mum-to-be Nicole Richie was caught smoking — on two separate occasions! — while she was recently in New York City.
Incident #1:
Pony tail, black jeans, waistcoat. Exits DaSilvano with one young girl, one middle-age lady. On the sidewalk, after checking who’s at which outdoor tables, she lights up. They jump into a waiting black Caddy Escalade, Nicole into the front seat. Still smoking.
Incident #2:
Three days later, 7:30 p.m., Nobu. For somebody who doesn’t eat, she sure frequents lots of restaurants. She’s there with the baby in the bun’s father. They leave. Outside she lights up again.
As if an addiction to self-tanner, boy banders and oversized handbags weren’t bad enough, now Nicole’s poor little baby is going to be born undersized and hooked on ciagettes!

it’s not healthy, but it’s not illegal. She’s not the only parent in the world who does it.
And, quitting smoking can be so stressful on the mom sometimes due to the withdrawals, it’s not unheard of for a OB to ok smoking as long as it’s drastically cut back.
Nicole is not the smartest girl in the world, when it comes to making good decisions, so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is true.
If it is…..tsk, tsk….stupid move.
The first paparazzi that’s gets a photo of her smoking is going to make a lot of $$$$$.

I love how everyone honestly believed that this dcum changed her behavior in order to accomodate the baby. Please. It’s a no brainer. They may all act like they are growing up and moving away from they stupid behavior, but it will always be so deeply rooted in them. Stupid cows.

Smoking is more than a bad habit. Nicotine is an addiction. I’m not a smoker myself, but watching people who actively quit smoking and seeing the stress they go through as their body purges the nicotine, yes, I can see how stopping smoking would be hard on a mother and a fetus.
I don’t understand how it could be stressful to quit smoking while pregnant. You are carrying your baby inside of you and everytime you have a cig so do they. If you can’t quit then you should not be a Mother. It is that simple. People are pussies anymore with all their excuses for themselves. Put them down you are no longer responsible for just yourself. Raising a child is a hell of a lot more stress than being pregnant with one so if she can’t handle this then God help her.
If this is true then she (and Joel) should be ashamed. I love Nicole but that’s just ridiculous. Hell, even Britney stopped while pregnant. I’d love to see a picture.
I can not wait for these other mothers to have there children, maybe they will get off Britney’s butt for a change. You have Courtney Cox in a canoe with CoCo without a life jacket on, you have Kate Holmes walking around in 5 in heels and droping her baby, and we have Nichole smoking and not even giving her baby a chance. So see they are not perfect, everyone just like to make everything Britney does out to be so bad. You dont see these people as much because they keep there baby’s locked up inside the house. So you never know what is going on!

also if you have been smoking your while….whether your preg. or not it’s hard to quit smoking and ONE or TWO cigs throughout your whole pregnancy isnt extremely bad.

Quitting was so hard for me. I took a pregnancy test, it was positive, I never smoked again. End of story- no drama, no whining, no patches or withdrawl. Just a healthy, gorgeous baby girl. She’s nearly ten and I’ve never looked back. No excuses for anyone. Grow up!
