Why do the pro-furs get so angry when anti-furs express their opinions? Is it because you feel that we force our views on you? If you wear fur you probably don’t care anyway, so why care what the anti-furs have to say?
I also used to wear fur, but that was because I didn’t know any better. Now that I’ve seen and read all the stuff out there about the fur trade, I can now make an informed decision not to wear fur. By buying fur I realize that I’m supporting a cruel industry and saying that wearing fur is OK. Torturing animals just for their skins is not OK. I have also seen those people who vehemently support fur, are the very ones who don’t know anything about the fur trade and perhaps don’t want to know. As they say, ignorance is bliss. Then there are others who have seen the cruelty of fur, but don’t want to admit that they were wrong in the first place by supporting the fur trade. It takes a big person to acknowledge that you made a mistake.
Also, the fur councils and furriers will fight tooth and nail to protect their trade, because if more and more people had to stop buying fur, they’ll be out of business. And they can’t stand the idea of losing their fortune.
These are the same people that say fur is green. It is not. Do your research and you’ll see it’s just a scam to dupe more people into buying fur.
