Considering the fact that her recent films and albums have been massive flops, Jennifer Lopez has returned to the one thing she’s successful at — shameless marketing!
With her new scent, Deseo, Jennifer Lopez presents a diamond in the rough - or at least, that’s what the bottle is intended to resemble. The fragrance is the first of Lopez’s beauty projects to reference her Latino heritage. Due out in February, it could generate more than $20 million at retail in the U.S. in its first year on counter.
The new scent draws its inspiration from the singer’s garden. “The idea for the scent usually comes first,” she says. “I always call up and say, I love this or I love that - get this candle or this flower that was in my garden. With Deseo, the inspiration came from a combination of smells in my own garden. So, I called up my friends at Coty and asked them to come take a walk through my garden with me so they could experience it. It was late at night so there was kind of a dew in the air and I took them to an area where there are these beautiful geranium flowers, orange trees, lemon trees, and all this stuff mixing together that was making this beautiful smell.”
Our thoughts? Are we interested in taking a walk through Jenny’s garden? Or are we just sick and tired of the endless barrage of celebrity fragrances?

Ah actually. Jennifer has been doing ‘celeb fragrances’ before it was a big deal. Seriously she started years ago. It still doesn’t mean she’s any better than them for sticking her name on some crap but she was doing it first. She didn’t just jump on the bandwagon AND her line is well established AND proven to be successful.
Yeah, y’all know that JLO didn’t go through her garden and smell the flowers! Stop with that foolishness!!! I doubt that bitch even knows if she has a garden or not. She has people to smell her flowers..
Oh No, not $20 million! She did well in the beginning but there are just too many celeb perfumes out there and the competition is fierce. Gwen Stefani, Usher, Sean John, Sarah J.P., Mariah, Britney, Kimora Simmons, Paris Hilton etc., all have perfumes and some really smell good and are selling well, not counting all the other non-celeb established brands like Estee Lauder. If her sales are based on her appeal other than to her true fans, with all the competition out there her perfume won’t do so well since everything else she does has been flopping. In time, all good things must come to an end.

Sounds beautiful!! Her and Britney have always brought out great scents in my opinion! The fragrances they choose are absolutely gorgeous. J-lo annoys me a lot, but the perfume is something that I love about her. She looks really hot in this photo as well…very sexy.
