Everyone loves a good dog story. And Iggygate is no exception.

Ratings for ‘The Ellen DeGeneres’ enjoyed a boost in ratings, says The New York Post, in the aftermath of Ellen’s ridiculous sobfest over little Iggy.

Ratings for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” were up almost 10 percent in the overnight Nielsens for the two days following her emotional breakdown…Those are just the preliminary numbers - the actual number of viewers may be much, much higher.

Meanwhile, The Smoking Gun has published a series of e-mails between Ellen, gal pal Portia de Rossi and Marina Baktis, the dog agency owner.

Looks like the whole matter can be boiled down to two celebs who are shocked and appaled when they don’t get their way.

Oh, the humanity!

I agree, Arasto. Her sobfest/rant over the little doggie was friggin ricdiculous. Maybe ’cause I’m not a pet person, I dunno, but she she needs to get a fucking grip on reality. California is burning the fvck down and she’s worried about some pampered pooch…

*gets off soapbox and exits stage left*

  2. Selene Says:

She really needs to stop this shit and get over the goddamn dog, it’s.just.a.dog.!!

  3. Tyrone Says:

how about, y’know, gay rights? she could invest some time into those instead of a dog. or she could worry about those fires. or she could worry about africa or something.

i’ve lost a lot of respect for ellen through this whole debacle.

  4. Jesus Fucking Christ Says:

Ratings were the whole point. Next this quiet sniffing bitch will eat a Sheboon’s pussy live on the air and her ratings will go up again. This muff diver will stop at nothing. She would eat Oprah’s fat ass out for ratings.

  5. BeJeeBus Says:

Ellen and Oprah didn’t get to bazillionaire status by being Morality personafied along the road. I still have mad love and respect for both though. In this world you don’t get anywhere by taking the high road.

  6. Anon Says:

I don’t know why Cheryl (the hairdress to whom Ellen gave Iggy) didn’t just cooperate with Mutts and Moms. It seems like Mutts and Moms was interested in accomodating her, and didn’t at all rule out the possibility of her still being able to adopt Iggy, she just wanted it done per her organizations percedures.

  7. Ugghh Says:

Doesn’t anyone see that for the Mutts and Mom bitch this is all about money? Ellen and Portia paid for the dog. M&M gets it back with no refund I’m sure, and then they sell it again! If you hate celebs, why come to a celeb website? The M&M bitch does not have the best interest of the dog in her mind or heart. I still think she is the villain here. And why bring up the lesbian stuff…as if that has anything to do with a damn dog!!

  8. Anonymous Says:

The family did try to comply with Mutts & Moms. They made an appointment to bring the dog and take their entire family down to meet the people AND they downloaded the ELEVEN page application to take with them. The Mutts & Mom’s lady called from down the street, came into the house under the guise of doing a “Home Check,” picked up the dog and refused to let it go, even with the police were called. The Mutts & Mom’s lady basically STOLE the dog back from a home with two young girls.

  9. Ick Says:

boo hoo. Not fair. Rules don’t apply to us. We own the playground. Wait, we don’t?!

  10. S Says:

silly girl Ruby said it was too far to drive to M&M and said the forms were too complicated so they didn’t not bother with them

  11. Stephi Says:

I totally understand why she was so upset! She thought she was doing what was best for that adorable little dog and also doing a good thing for that family. I have been known to cry over my dogs before, they do have little feelings you know. It’s a very sad situation what happened to Ellen and I don’t think she intended to cry on the show but she couldn’t help it…she needed to let the audience know that she was having a bad day and may not be herself…and the tears just came. That little Iggy is just scrumptious!! I hope he goes back to that family!!
