Rob Lowe made Sunday’s (September 20) 61st Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles a family affair.
Joined by his sons, Matthew, 15, and John, 14, the 45-year-old actor said he brought his boys along as “bodyguards.”
He later explained, “We’ve never been to Emmys. Duiring The West Wing era, they were too young to come. This is boys’ night out, and after the show we’re going to Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles. That’s a tradition.”
Meanwhile, Rob presented the Best Lead Actor in a Comedy award to none other than Alec Baldwin. When he took to the stage to accept, the 30 Rock actor gestured to Rob and said: “I’ll be honest — I’d trade this to look like him.”
As for what we can expect on the upcoming season of Brothers and Sisters? “Last year was the study of a marriage coming apart,” says Rob. “This year is the study of a marriage coming together. It’s very romantic but its underpinned with tragedy. It s a really moving storyline.”
