It was a shameless lovefest on today’s (September 15) Oprah interview with Whitney Houston as the two chit chatted about the singer’s marriage, frame of mind and and comeback — or as she puts it, “comethough.”
“I love you,” said Whitney to Oprah. “I love you.” And later, Oprah explained: “We had a powerful connection!”
As the two blamed all of Whitney mistakes on her destructive marriage to Bobby Brown, at one point Oprah asked an important question: Is Whitney is now drug-free? “Yes ma’am,” the singer answered. “Don’t think I don’t have desires for it. … It takes a minute to cleanse. ‘Get off me, just leave me alone.’ I have to pray it away.”
Whitney later went on to admit to having a drink every now and then, because that’s “not an issue” for her. “But no weed. No coke.”

OMFG. She’s does this, “Oh they touched me because I can so relate” crap all the time. I tried watching some of that interview but all the cutaways to Oprah’s tears and reactions was too much. I will say Whitney was more honest and open than I expected. The woman isn’t stupid at all. Good for her.
A caveat to the above: Oprah does this ONLY with celebrities. She loves to identify with celebrities, the most important people on earth according to her.
I’m going to buy a copy this weekend.
i thought the interview was honest, revealing, and enthralling. whitney is a longtime favorite of mine. i always loved her and knoew she would rise above it all. the cd is great i had it until someone stole it but thats another story. its great tho.. love you whitney
^^^Damn they stole it already??? lol And she did not blame all of her problems on Bobby. I think it was clear that she takes responsibility for her actions. Like anon1 said, Whitney’s no dummy. I’m just glad to see her healthy and happy again. Everyone has his/her own issues…
She has lost her voice and sparkle. Makes me sad to see.
