Once upon a time, a Marc Jacobs after party would have attracted the who’s who of the fashion and celebrity world. Nowadays it’s a random collection of washed up actors and shameless fame-seekers who’ll accept an invitation to anything so long as you can promise a photographer.

Needless to say, the 46-year-old designer’s after party last night (September 14) at Hiro in New York City to celebrate his Spring 2010 collection did not fail to unimpress.

Jared Leto, rapper’s wife CoCo and some random girl in a grey hoodie with some serious attitude were among the generic brand attendees who skipped out on the runway show but hit up the post bash for the free booze and press.

As for the collection? Marc is all about ruffles and pearls for next year. His ever popular shoes, meanwhile, were chunky, futuristic and noticeably lacked a high heel.

Fellow no-name celeb attendees included the likes of Evan Ross (son of Diana), Ciara and troubled actress Mischa Barton. Supermodel Chanel Iman and pop royalty Janet Jackson hit up the bash for a brief second before making a quick exit after realizing they were way too cool to be there.
