The Oscar-winning actress channeled her inner red carpet goddess for the premiere of The Burning Plain held at the Thompson Hotel in Beverly Hills last night (September 14).
Joined by co-star Jennifer Lawrence and writer/director Guillermo Arriaga, Charlize was on hand to celebrate her two-tiered flick about a mother (played by Kim Basinger) and daughter (Charlize) who try to form a bond after the young woman’s difficult childhood.
Meanwhile, Charlize is set to reuinte with Will Smith and Jason Bateman for a follow-up to superhero comedy Hancock.
Director Peter Berg said at the Toronto Film Festival: “Everybody’s going to come back for a sequel.”
And while the script is yet to be completed, Berg said the film would feature the lead characters pairing up to defeat a common enemy. It is also expected to explore the 3000-year-old world they’re from, which was only hinted at in the first film.
