KANYE WEST CALLS HIS ACTIONS “RUDE” ON ‘LENO’

leno-kanye

Kanye West appeared on the premiere of the Jay Leno Show tonight (September 14) to address the firestorm of controversy he started invading the MTV Video Music Awards stage last night to protest Beyonce‘’s loss of Best Female Video to Taylor Swift.

Greeted by cheers, the disgraced rapper apologized, calling his actions “rude,” and promised to take time off to address personal problems that may have led to his unexpected rant. AAA perhaps?

Claiming that he was having an “extremely difficult” day, Kanye went on to acknowledge that he spent the afternoon “dealing with the fact that I hurt someone or took anything away from a talented artist.”

As for when he knew his stunt had gone awry? “As soon as I gave the mic back to her and she didn’t keep going,” he said.

Leno took a uncalled-for jab at the down and out loudmouth when he asked Kanye how his deceased mother, Donda, would have reacted to the situation. After an awkward pause, an emotional Kanye said: “I deal with hurt. And, you know, so many celebrities, they never take the time off. I’ve never taken the time off to really — you know, just music after music and tour after tour. But I need to, after this, take some time off and just analyze how I’m going to make it through the rest of this life, how I’m going to improve. Because I am a celebrity, and that’s something I have to deal with.”

Adding that he was simply “ashamed that my hurt caused someone else’s hurt,” Kanye later joined Jay-Z and Rihanna for a performance of Run This Town. And it appears all (ok, most) is forgiven. When it came time for Kanye’s verse, the audience gave him a warm round of applause.

Too bad Kanye didn’t stop to think before his bad behavior. I see nothing wrong with Leno’s question. His Mom was a college professor, you think she would have had a better influence on him. I like Kelly Clarkson’s comments. Tell it like it is.

He’s such a fucking asshole. Why are people so quick to forgive him? I’m sorry but after his disgraceful scene last night I would not be applauded him. Saying sorry and saying that you are going to deal with it is not really good enough. It shouldnt have happened at all. He needs to work out his anger issues and tone down his ego because pretty sure he will have no friends and no fans.

He’s a stupid little man - who would swagger down a red carpet like he did, so filled with self importance. Guess his so-called girlfriend has no place to help keep him under control even if just for the photogs everywhere.
She’s probably a paid employee. He’s just another out of control asshole who is going to kill himself because he has no one around him but “Yes People”. Who else could stand him?

I think what Kanye did was inappropriate and silly, but the outrage this story has generated is slightly ridiculous and it’s time that people moved on. No one died, Taylor Swift got her feelings hurt and a whole bunch of you are now butthurt, but it’s really not that deep.

Yeah, shame on Leno for being so tough on the poor misunderstood guy ! Are you kidding? That idiot should never be hired to do anything in public again, and shame on those people who cheered and clapped for him. They are just as much to blame for giving this self-important a**hole his attitude. He is a nothing, who has done nothing of worth in his life. He has not taught children to read, has not cured people of illnesses, or rushed into a burning building to save others. He “sings” of meanness and how bad life is. Move on, little man and leave the stage for those who have something positive to offer youth.

Who cares? He’s one asshole in a world of many. I really don’t think it’s as serious as people are making it. If this were 1955 he would have been lynched. SMH.

Awards are someone’s opinions. It was not his place to disagree. IMHO that is the outrageous part. If he wants to give out his own “awards” then he can do that.

Based on that, what he did is completely inexcuseable and I think he should be banned. Plus I think his music stinks and he’s a raving narcissistic asshole. If people would vote with their dollars, we would be rid of him and fellow asshole Chris Brown!

@Luella - really?? Lynched for his comments or his race?? watch yourself, lets not take this too far. Its done, he apologized and I am sure he will make it up to Taylor. I wouldn’t be suprised if they make a track together in the future and bot continue to be succesful and you will continue to be you. If the people involved are dealing with it why are you getting your nickers in a knot like you have shares in Taylor’s success?? SMH!!
    LOL :)

  17. September-15-2009 @ 10:10 am

maybe it was done for them to make a track together,, who knows , its done he apoplogized and its over, like the rest of the people who say stupid ignorant things and at least i can say he didnt take it to name calling!!

  18. September-15-2009 @ 10:18 am

On a nother site some asshole said ..”How would your dead mother feel about this” now thats taking things too damn far,, Anybody that would say something about a deceased mother needs their ass kicked . Its not that serious what happened to go as far as talking about somebodys dead mother! Those are fighting words and i hope this mess stops before it gets out of hand! When the other idiots like Michael Richards and Don imus made their very racist comment nobody mentioned a death of a mother!! (smdh)

  22. September-15-2009 @ 12:13 pm

AJF.. i agree look at all the other assholes who made stupid statements and Kanye’ didnt say anything racist which he could have, it is being taken too far, let it go he apologized like the rest of the clowns and i will be looking for Kanye and Taylors track to come out.. ugh!! plus taylor was suppose to have made a nasty comment about the Jonas brothers.. so on it goes!!

Gina, get a brain. I’m not saying he should be lynched, try to follow along. My point is the overreaction is uncalled for and I feel a lot of it is race based, consciously or subconsciously. An angry black man insulting and disrespecting a lily white blond country singing angel. If it were 1955, angry mobs of whites would not hesitate to drag him out into the street and lynch him. He would be Emmitt Tilled. But it’s 2009 so instead they just blog endlessly about what a racist n.igger he is.

  24. September-15-2009 @ 2:12 pm

Luella, i agree and i couldntbelieve all the ones taking up for imus when he went on rampage calling those (yong girls also) names and what not! he didnt call her out ) out of her name and in deed it was rude and disrectful but he apologized and that calling him the n word and on the other blog talking about his dead mother was just some racist ass bullcrap! i wish a mf would bring my mother into some sh-t like that especially if she were dead man i tell you! plus watch Ts will get more coverage from this then you will ever know, may even get a track with Kanye or beyonce! @ Luella you are right and if he is racist he has a whole of people just like him that say racist things all the time.. look how they do Obama!!!

    September-15-2009 @ 3:09 pm

@ Luella - okay, I’ll use my brain - lol.
I understand what you were trying to say earlier now that you elaborated and I agree. For sure right now people in the south are probably heated because of that image of a dark skinned black man going at a lily white blond girl.
Like @alicis and @AJFV said, this has gone too far.
    peace! :)

It’s not just what he did to Taylor Swift but the ongoing asshole behaviour on his part - at every opportunity he takes someone’s moment on stage and makes some idiotic statement about how tough it is to be black. He’s a moron - how can people support him.
