MADONNA HONORS MICHAEL

Moments before Janet Jackson took the stage to honor her big brother, Madonna emerged on the darkened stage to reminisce about her experience knowing Michael Jackson.

Drawing comparisons between their difficult childhoods and the King of Pop’s everlasting impact on music, Madge said: “There is no question Michael Jackson was one of the greatest talents the world has ever known. We allowed this magnificent creature that once set the world on fire to slip through the cracks… He was so unique, so original, so rare and there will never be anyone like him again. He was a king.”

While the VMAs hsbr never started off so serious, Madonna was eloquent and from the heart. You could hear a pin drop!!!!

The most heartfelt, genuine, dignified and eloquent tribute anyone has given Michael Jackson since his death. Bravo Madonna, from the queen to the king!

Bravo Madonna. Brilliant, heartfelt, eloquent and intelligent speech. From the Queen to the King.

I, for one, am I glad she had the guts to state how his childhood was robbed and how he was mistreated while he’s alive. She’s just calling it like it is. Bet Joe Jackson was sweating for a second. Jermaine looked so proud and happy as she spoke about Michael.

    Really wonderful and fitting tribute.

Loved her speech, she said it like it is. I loved how she didn’t pretend they were great friends, she even said that (take note Brooke Shields). I believe she understood him. She was one of the few who defended him during his first case.

I read somewere they stopped seeing eachother because Madonna couldn’t relate to Michael anymore because he was too closed off from the real world.

Yeah, Michael shut out a lot of his friends, including Lisa Marie after she tried to help him. He only wanted to surround himself with “Yes people” so he didn’t have to hear what he didn’t want to hear.
