Sporting an up ‘do and some unqiue makeup, Lauren Conrad made a solo arrival at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Sunday night (September 13).

Much like her BFF and former co-star Lo Bosworth, L.C. opted to go understated in a simple black and white number. And also like her pal Lo, no one cared.

Meanwhile, actor Kyle Howard will reportedly propose marriage to Lauren over the Christmas holiday.

In Touch Weekly reports that Kyle has been shopping for an engagement ring to be presented to the reality TV star when he asks her to marry him. No mention about possible wedding date and venue though.

In the meantime, rumour has it MTV has been eying to sign the pair for its new unscripted series that will document their romance should they make it to the altar. Says an insider: “Lauren and Kyle have been approached by MTV executives about starring in their own reality series. It will be about their romance or possibly even their married life.”
