At the star-studded event, NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg recounted trying to turn Anna down when she first came up with the idea — but “lost totally.”

Meanwhile, Kate will thankfully not be walking down the aisle with baseball boyfriend Alex Rodriguez any soon.

A rep for the sports star has slammed reports that the couple is set to wed after Kate was spotted sporting a diamond on her ring finger earlier this week.

A representative for A.Rod has strenuously denied the rumours and said that the story is “absolutely not true.”
