Making a last-minute arrival, Penelope Cruz was seen descending down the red carpet at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto last night (September 10) just five minutes before her film Broken Embraces premiered.

But the 35-year-old actress ducked out of the theatre a few minutes later, returning to chat at length with the assembled media mass.

Dressed in an ice blue dress for the event, Miss Cruz declined to break her silence and was quickly ushered away by her rep when asked outright about pregnancy rumours. “What?” questioned her publicist. “Next question.”
