Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher spent part of the afternoon with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg today (September 10) in Times Square helping to launch a new campaign from the Entertainment Industry Foundation called ‘I Participate.’
The program is a multi-year initiative aimed at mobilizing the entertainment community to boost volunteerism. The centerpiece is a week-long television event, October 19 to 25, when shows on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC and elsewhere will spotlight service.
Tyler Perry, Randy Jackson, Christine Baranski, Tim Daly, Fran Drescher, Katie Couric and Michelle Trachtenberg also participated in the announcement.
Following the even, Demi tweeted: “So honored to have attended and participated in today’s service launch headed up by Mayor Bloomberg. Check out http://www.iparticipate.org.”
