A-list couple Heidi Klum and Seal lead a cluster of stars who attended the ‘Get Schooled’ conference and premiere held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles today (September 8).

Hosted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Viacom, the celeb-packed event officially launched an awareness campaign to reduce the number of dropouts.

The ‘Get Schooled’ initiative focuses on low graduation rates in college and high school and the accountability of teachers. A student drops out of an American high school every 26 seconds.

As part of the official launch of the five-year campaign, the documentary Get Schooled premiered on all of Viacom’s networks simultaneously. It stars American Idol diva Kelly Clarkson, basketball star LeBron James and President Barack Obama, and three professionals who work alongside them.

Other celebrity attendees on hand to give promote education included the likes of Ben Stiller, Malin Akerman, Cheryl Hines, Elizabeth Shue and husband Davis Guggenheim, pop star Jesse McCartney, reality starlet Lo Bosworth, entertainment reporter Maria Menounos, legendary big screen actor Morgan Freeman, Reverend Al Sharpton and R&B soulstress Monica.

Coincidentally, today’s events took place on the same day that a speech Obama made in Arlington, VA on Tuesday was broadcast to schools across the nation where he urged students to hit the books, insisted that success is hard-won and reminded us that all student have something they are good at.
