Staying cool and caffeinated, Pete Wentz was seeen out getting a Starbucks iced coffee at the Beverly Glen Mall in Beverly Hills today (September 8).
Upon his drive home, it appears L.A. famously bumper-to-bumper traffic got the best of the pint-sized Fall Out Boy bassist.
“Dear everyone in L.A., is this your 1st day driving?” Pete tweeted when he got home. “You don’t have to pump your brakes every ten seconds. Trust me.”
Meanwhile, don’t believe everything you read — Pete’s wife Ashlee Simpson did not kick him out of their L.A. home.
Reports have been running rampant suggesting that the new parents are about to split after Ashlee found evidence that Pete had been cheating on her and called him in a rage to have it out with him.
The truth? They are merely planning a move into a new house to escape the prying eyes of the ever-present paps, which — let’s face it — must put a strain on their relationship.
Says Pete: “We’re going to figure out moving somewhere that’s a little less (public)… (In our current home) there’ll be too many paparazzi and you’ll get mobbed. You’re just trying to protect your wife or your kid. It’s just frustrating.”

I sometimes wonder whether guys like Pete and John Mayer strive to be douchebag or whether it just comes naturally and effortlessly.
I think John and Pete are just having a bit of fun with their fame to be honest. I don’t think they could really care less if people think they are douchebags, they still sell millions of records. And I completely agree about some drivers in LA traffic…annoying!
I have to agree on the driving. Some of the worst drivers live here. People totally zone out or are always distracted. The 405 North has the best, nicest drivers IMO.
Yeah It ’s so frustrating to be haunted by all the paps. But here’s my new address…..They are those who shun publicity and he and his wife is not one of them.
