Taking a break from filming the upcoming season of Heroes, actress Hayden Panettiere and her new puppy were spotted stepping out for some air on Melrose in Los Angeles this afternoon (September 4).

With her pooch in tow, the 20-year-old starlet could be seen dropping by a nail salon before heading home to catch the latest news on the L.A. wildfires.

Meanwhile, Hayden recently revealed that she gets along fantastically well with her co-stars, saying: “I do [get along with older people]. With younger people, I sometimes struggle to fit in. I have plenty of confidantes and friends in the cast.”

It’s clearly her affinity for older men that has drawn Miss Panettiere to Lindsay Lohan’s millionaire ex-boyfriend Harry Morton, who is 9 years her senior. The unlikely pair have secretly spent much of the summer in each others’ arms, suggesting that her rebound summer transatlantic fling with British presenter Steve Jones is over.
