This just in from ABC: Expect to see soap star/country signer Kassie DePaiva, of ‘One Life to Live’ fame, to be the first celebrity fill-in on ‘The View’ to substitute for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who begins her maternity leave next week.
Elisabeth leaves Tuesday, Kassie will take over on Wednesday.
Let’s hope the likes of Margaret Cho, Kathy Griffin and Janeane Garofalo are given the chance to offer up their View before the return of Hasselbeck.

Kathy Griffin would be so incredible on The View! She would really light a fire under that stick-in-the-mud Babs Walters. And she wouldn’t let anyone get away with spewing their stupid, mindless opinions. Either they’d back them up with facts, or Kathy would deliver the smackdown!
Hey, I love One Life to Live (well I used to when I watched it) and this girl is so sweet and beautiful.
Kathy Griffin has sucked on The View thus far and I’m one of her biggest fans. Its supposed to be about your opinion not about shock jocking.

She’s also a country singer and the mother of a deaf son who uses an implant to help him hear.
I wonder what her hourly rate is? (Assuming she is a hooker)
