Tensions can often arise between one’s parents and their significant other, but Michael Lohan is now saying he was wrong about his daughter’s choice in girlfriends.

Michael, who once thought Samantha Ronson to be a bad influence on Lindsay Lohan, has apologized to the 32-year-old DJ.

“I want to say I’m sorry for anything negative I said about Sam,” Lohan tells Life & Style. “It was totally off-color.”

Apparently it was a private meeting at Sam’s Los Angeles home that swayed the 43-year-old father. “I really see Sam in a whole different light now,” admits Lindsay’s often estranged father, who says he allowed other people’s negative opinions about Ronson influence his own.
