Taking a break from life in France, Brad Pitt showed up in Aviles, Spain today (August 31).

Joined by friends and collegues, the 46-year-old actor was seen enjoying dinner and wine during his two-hour sit down dinner.

No word on the reason behind Brad’s surprise trip but it likely has to do with either an upcoming flick or philanthropical project.

Meanwhile, it appears that young Maddox is following in the charitable footsteps of his parents.

A source close to the family tells the Mirror: “Maddox is only eight, but from his visits to places where people are not as lucky as he is, he’s learned the lessons of being a humanitarian. He spent time in New Orleans where poverty is common and things were hard after Hurricane Katrina. ‘He’s been on the site where Brad’s heading a homes development for people who lost their houses. Brad tells them it’s important to help your fellow man. He always adds, “and your family, too”.’

What’s more? It appears that the other children are just as generous acccording to the family friend. “‘I’ve never seen such kind, giving children, she says. “Especially at their ages. Pax loves Maddox and follows his lead. Zahara is a leader type and she has a buoyant, bright personality. She mothers Shiloh but makes it known she’s older than her sister. Shiloh is the little mother. She watches over the twins like a mum. She especially loves Vivienne.”
