Showing off their public affection, Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel were seen leaving Shutters on the Beach luxury hotel in Santa Monica yesterday afternoon (August 30).

The parents-to-be have wisely decided to sneak away for some R&R before the arrival of their first child.

Taye recently opened up about first-time fatherhood. “Everyone keeps telling me how amazing it’s going to be,” he told People mag. “Once the birth happens, everything is going to change on every level. I’m very excited.”

The pair are holding off on naming their baby, who is due on September 6.
