Looking all grown up, 31-year-old Candace Cameron dropped by the New York City set of the ‘Today Show’ today to chat about being a happily married, stay-at-home mother of three who has never been arrested. Yes, it’s possible, people!
The child star from the ’80s hit sitcom ‘Full House’ told host Natalie Morales that for her, it’s all about family.
“My mom and dad – they were always there. They were always on the set. They focused on our family life. The entertainment business wasn’t the end-all. They weren’t out to get the next big paycheck or the next big movie. It was about ‘What can we do as a family.’ â€
And, of course, having a loving and faithful NHL star hubby (Valeri Bure) doesn’t hurt.
“He’s a professional athlete,†she said. “We work out together. We have fun with the kids. We all play tennis together, we ride bikes, we go on walks together. It’s really a family effort.â€

Were the paps as bad as they are now is my question. We have no clue what she did when she was younger, no one was there to follow her every move.

I don’t like her hairstyle, it’s very WT, otherwise she looks great! Almost the same.
I doubt she did much of anything scandalous, she is Kirk Cameron’s sister after all, he’d be everywhere starting prayer chains if she got too far out of line.
At first I thought this was Lisa Welchel or however you spell her name, “Blair” from Facts of Life. haha.
b, to answer your question, no it wasn’t like that back then. The paps were not around as much. It wasn’t as easy as it is today where the paps can take digital pictures, upload them on the web on the spot and sell them instantly. Today anybody can be a paparazzo because it’s so easy to do. It wasn’t a frenzy back then like it is today.
Plus, I think Candace Cameron is a lot more grounded than today’s Hollywood celebutards.

DJ was always my fave on the show….after Uncle Jesse of course!! Stephanie had the same name as me but she always annoyed the hell out of me with all her ‘how rude’ crap. Candace was always a really pretty girl and she is still really beautiful! It’s good to see she didn’t succumb to the child star curse and has a happy family life. Refreshing!
