Twenty-year-old ‘Gossip Girl’ star Blake Lively offers up some refreshingly candid quotes in the November issue of CosmoGIRL!
Blake on becoming a Hollywood star overnight: “It is a crazy and completely insane business. I’ll go to an event wearing some designer gown and tens of thousands of dollars in jewels that were lent to me for the night, and I’ll walk around and meet people who I always thought were such a big deal…Stars really are like anyone else. At the end of the day, Brad Pitt poops–as handsome as he may be–and so does Angelina Jolie. I’m still baffled by how odd this job is.”Blake on Hollywood’s “bad girls: “I think some people who bash on the girls in Hollywood who are struggling with addiction or going into rehab aren’t being totally fair; it’s not solely their fault. When you don’t have someone to model yourself after, you’re going to make mistakes. There’s no one there to tell them what’s right or wrong or who is a positive example.”
Blake on her celebrity crushes: “As a kid, I had a huge crush on Leonardo DiCaprio and, oh my gosh, Justin Timberlake. They were the two I can really think of just being completely in love with.”
Blake on what she’d be doing, if not acting: “I’d be doing something like Martha Stewart. I love planning and throwing parties. If I ever met Martha, I think I’d cry.”

She’s on a lame show on the CW, she’s not a Hollywood star. The Cavemen show gets higher ratings than Gossip Girl.

She is cute and kind of average looking as far as Hollywood goes. Is this show geared for teens? I haven’t really seen anything about it except in magazines. I think it is good to put nice normal looking people in teen shows because it is hard enough to deal with insecurities when you are that age. I rememeber those days too clearly and i feel bad for teenagers.

Thanks for the update PSL I had forgotten about that, I really enjoyed Sisterhood..
2cents: my daughters read the Gossip Girl book series and I never censor anything they want to read but when it came to this show we watched it two weeks and I said no more. It isn’t anything more than a teenage Dynasty, they all wear expensive clothes, party w/ no consequence, there were almost two date rapes in the opening show. I expected it to be more O.C’ ish but there is no substance at all.

Walking around in a designer dress with tens of thousands of dollars of jewels? Has she actually done this? I didn’t even really know who this chick was until I read the writing below? I kind of don’t like the fact that she brings up other celeb names either…don’t really know why but it sort of pisses me off. I think she’s quite a pretty girl though and she looks nice on the cover here. Most of her answers to the questions are pretty good too….but whats her secret addiction? It’s not like I’m going to buy Cosmogirl to find out!

She is one of the few really bright spots on this falls TV lineup—VERY good acting on a so-so show and she looks really good–and not in a usual blonde way. I see good things ahead for this girl….
