A cool chill descended upon New York City this afternoon.

Hiding behind her signature oversized sunglasses, Anna Wintour breezed by photogs today (August 24) as she made her first-ever visit to the Late Show With David Letterman at the Ed Sullivan Theater.

When asked by the late night funny guy about her reputation that went on to inspire The Devil Wears Prada, the ever stoic Vogue editrix responded: “I have strong opinions and people know that.”

As for her overall late night debut performance? “She was like Hannibal Lecter,” says a source. “She barely moved, she sat at the edge of her chair. She’s reptilian.”
