Halle Berry enjoyed a family dinner with her sexy partner Gabriel Aubry and their adorable daughter Nahla at Nobu in Malibu last night (August 23).
Looking casual in jeans and t-shirts, the picture perfect couple effortlessly ignored the paparazzi upont their arrival before sitting down to feast on some sushi and sashimi.
Meanwhile, it appears that some of 18-month-old Nahla’s first words were in the native tongue of her dad’s — French!
During a recent father-daughter day out to a beach cafe, the green-eyed offspring of the Oscar-winner and the supermodel reportedly uttered the words: “Papa! Regard! Un chien!”
A cashier at Malibu Kitchen is quoted as saying: “The little girl was pointing at the colourful drinks in the cooler and speaking French, like ‘Papa!’ and ‘Regard!’ I’m not sure what else she said, my French is poor, but she was talking a lot.”
Of a dog barking outside, the earful onlooker continues: “She was saying something about that too, and pointing. I asked her dad when he came back in to pay what she had said and he said, ‘Chien means dog in French. She said dog.’”
The cashier adds that Gabriel was bubbling with pride at his daughter’s language capacity.

Gabriel isn’t American, he’s a French Canadian. So he’s teaching his daughter what’s essentially a part of her own heritage. Nothing wrong with being bilingual in America. It can only be a benefit to be able to communicate with other cultures.

Oh shut up with your ignorant “American comments,” don’t speak on behalf of the rest of us. The more languages you speak and the more open-minded you are, the better. Learning about different cultures and ways of life can only help. I can’t believe how narrow-minded some people are. Like the world somehow revolves around Middle-America and your values. Get a grip.
