Chris Pine stars in lot of flicks that use CGI and special effects but that movie star bod is the result of blood, sweat and tears. (Ok, maybe just sweat, but you get what we mean….)

Spending the afternoon working on his fitness, the 28-year-old actor was seen playing basketball in an alley in Los Angeles yesterday (August 22) with a friend.

Meanwhile, Chris recently chatted about the potential Star Trek sequel and what’s next for the rising star!

“They want to get stuff going for 2011, so I don’t know if that means we’ll shoot next year or what, but I haven’t heard anything one way or the other,” he dishes to the Los Angeles Times.

When asked if the whole cast would return? “As far as I know, yeah.”

Mr. Pine will begin shooting the thriller Unstoppable next month. He says, “To be doing a movie with Denzel Washington and Tony Scott is like a kid’s dream,” adding: “I’ve watched and been a fan of both of theirs for as long as I can remember.”
