Seems leaving Warner Brothers is the best idea, they don’t seem to promote her cds or songs like they used to. Hopefully Live Nation will treat her better.

God I hate this tired old slag. She hasn’t been relevant for years, unless there’s some new award for fake British accents or being a greedy cunt.
She is annoying as all hell to me but she could teach classes on business. She has a really great business mind and always finds a way to keep people interested enough to buy her next album without being in our face all the time. She has a very limited voice but uses it in a way that covers it up and she makes no apologies for it and I have never seen her lipsynch.

Mindy, Madonna wasn’t “blasted” through the 80s -90s, she barely did drugs. She was too busy working out and working so much, too disciplined to be worried about drugs. I’m sure she’s tried them and did them sometimes, but you could tell she was never wasted.
This is about the music industry people. Keep it within the topic. Radiohead made 10 million in one day from there online download. That meant the artists made that. No distribution costs. No middle man. etc.
Oh yeah ad they have rights to their songs which means royalties.

Warner Music didn’t match the Live Nation offer because they know tha Madonna’s hit making days are over. Her last two CDs produced no radio hits.
^But her Confessions tour grossed 260 million dollars and that was in 6 months. That is the highest grossing tour ever so there is still $$ to be made off of her. Someone is paying those ticket prices to watch her sing those songs that are not being played on the radio.
Madonna has always come across as a very shrewd businesswoman, but I don’t like her. She seems like she’d be a royal bitch in person. And it’s funny you mention that about Radiohead, peroosal :o). I was just talking about that earlier… it’s especially interesting considering fans can set the price on the online album download (pay as little or as much as you want). Some people that downloaded paid nothing. I don’t know about the 10 mill, but I read that there were something like 1.2 million downloads as of the 12th. Pretty innovative. I’ve yet to check out Rainbows, but that’s on my to-do list for this weekend. I love them.
