Enjoying a solo day out, Eva Longoria stayed all bundled up as she shopped at Planet Blue, in Malibu yesterday (August 19).

The 34-year-old actress is currently filming the upcoming season of Desperate Housewives and days after production wraps up, she’ll take on a Spanish-speaking role for the first time in a Mexican film about kidnapping.

Film producer Leopoldo Gout tells the Reforma newspaper that Eva’s character will be crucial to solving the mystery at the heart of the film, which is called Day of Grace.

Remaining mum on any other details, he adds that the Latina starlet “read the script and loved the characters and the story’s depth.”

The flick will be filmed in Mexico City. No word on a release date.
