This ought to ruffle a few feathers. Or fur as it were.
Alec Baldwin is offering a different perspective on Michael Vick.
The avid animal rights activist, blogs that:
“What Vick did is, obviously, senseless and reprehensible. But I believe Vick, as a wealthy and talented athletic superstar who performs his job out in the open before crowds of amped-up and highly opinionated fans, suffers an unfair disadvantage as compared to, say, the heads of a meatpacking plant or the directors of a medical research lab where animals are suffering the cruelest imaginable abuses behind walls and doors that remove them from our sight and, therefore, judgments.”
He says Vick deserves another chance. “One chance. Just like all of us who eat meat, drink milk, attend rodeos, circuses, zoos and horse races and yet find it easier to hand Vick the bill for all of the other, more systemic abuses in our society may find ourselves needing another chance one day. Just like Michael Vick.”

I agree!!!!
Preach Alex!!!! He’s 100% right. Not to mention hunting which is totally legal.
Michael Vick paid for his crime, people need to get off his ass.
i’ll give michael vick another chance. TO WORK AT MCDONALD’S FOR MINIMUM WAGE. Ya want fries with that? what this monster personally did to dogs is unforgiveable. fuck him. i hope someone bodyslams him on the field and he dies.
I’m with Alec on this. Well said. As a society, we need to be more conscious of the systemic problems.
I agree w/Evil Bitch!
Why should he be making millions of dollars after what he did.
He is an ASSHOLE!! I think Home Depot is hiring.
enough with the systemic problems - Vick’s a dirtbag and should be treated accordingly; preferably by hungry pitbulls.
Yeah, I can make up my own fucking mind, Alec. I’m tired of him weighing in all the time like he has the wisdom of Solomon. The thing is I even agree with him most of the time, but he’s so friggin’ sanctimonious!
He paid his debt to society and he should not be prevented from making a living in his chosen field. Frankly I’m tired of the double standard. How many guys in professional sports routinely beat the crap out of their wives and girlfriends and everyone remains silent? Alec is absolutely right that there are worse abuses than Vick’s and we all just ignore it because it’s easier to demonize a rich athlete.
there’s no doubt he’s paid his price and deserves our open minds for a second chance.
go ron mexico!
Fuck that. I agree with him that animal testing labs and meatpacking plants are cruel but what Michael Vick did was wrong and he knew it. No normal person thinks its ok to fight dogs. I understand though that he was probably brought up badly and maybe he does deserve another chance and an opportunity to be educated on his mistake. It’s sad that anyone would think being cruel to an animal is acceptable.
The difference between domestic violence and animal cruelty is that those dogs couldn’t LEAVE Vick. A girlfriend or a wife can say, “you know what asshole? I’ve had enough and you can kiss my ass.” Done. It’s their CHOICE to stay and be treated like shit, the dogs didn’t have a CHOICE. I don’t think Vick should be allowed to do anything to make millions. Fuckers needs to understand that just because they’re dogs doesn’t mean they don’t deserve respect.
How the hell can you compare zoos and horse racing to dog fighting? Racehorses get treated better than a lot of humans do and have you been to a real zoo lately?
Aww, shut the fuck up, Baldwin!
A man who verbally abuses his daughter has no fucking credibility when it comes to animal rights. Fix your anger management issues with your daughter and ex-wife before you stick your nose into other people’s business, you holier-than-thou asswipe!
I guess there’s always an easier way …
