Ellen Pompeo isn’t letting the imminent arrival of her first child get in the way of her personal fitness.

The expectant Grey’s Anatomy actress was up bright and early this morning (August 15) to attend a pilates class in Los Angeles.

Though Ellen has remained mum on any details of her pregnancy, In Touch Weekly recently reported that Ellen is having a baby girl.

The mum-to-be was apparently seen shopping with a friend at Juvenile Shop in Sherman Oaks, CA last month where she bumped into Nicole Richie.

“Nicole and Ellen greeted each other with a hug and seemed like they were good friends,” an eyewitness tells the tab. Nicole was helping the 39-year-old with her baby registry. Ellen is due in October, and wanted everything from a BabyBjorn bouncer to girly organic blankets. Nicole was so excited to offer her help to Ellen. She was giving advice about what she should buy and things she’ll need for the nursery.”
