Check out newly released video at the scene of the accident involving Olrando Bloom early Friday morning showing the actor initially walking away from the accident and then turning around to return to the scene.
Witnesses told police the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star hit a parked car after being cut off by another vehicle.
One of two passengers suffered a fractured neck.
Meanwhile, Orlando’s peeps have just issued a statement: “Orlando Bloom, who was in a minor car collision late last night, is grateful that no one was seriously injured. Bloom called for help immediately following the incident. He spent last night at the hospital to be with his childhood friend who sustained a minor neck injury. He is thankful that emergency services arrived so quickly and that the ER staff at Cedars Sinai took such good care of his friend.”

i can’t believe he left his friends in the car without checking on them…if the paps weren’t there to encourage him to go back…what would he have done? checking on his passenger friends should have been his first priority…not bolting!
I don’t think he was leaving the scene, just going around the corner to call and avoid pappazzi….I don’t think nayone is a douch enough to leave an injured friend behind…he was likely in shock and just overwhelmed with the pararazzi being there….
I think he panicked, totally normal.
he walked away for a reason … i don’t think he was bailing on his friends - i mean, according to his people one of them is a childhood friend … something else was going on … perhaps he walked away to get rid of coke etc… hurl it over the hedge b4 the cops come? who knows - his friend in the back was totally wasted before they left in the car - she was actually passed out lying along the backseat half in the trunk … we’ll nvr find out why he walked away, it’s hard to imagine what you’d do after being in an accident & being filmed & photographed with loads of paparazzi surrounding you - who knows? i just know that magazine staff, film crews etc… always say how nice & genuine & down to earth he is - he doesn’t come across as a douche … the thing is, in l.a if you’re rich u get away with everything … it’s less about celebrity justice & more about having $$$

I don’t think he was walking away - He doesn’t seem to be that kind of people (Britney, Lindsay…), he just panicked. Who wouldn’t panic in a car accident? I would! I have… Been in two or three car accidents, none serious, but I was panicked anyway.
Love me some Orlando, but the whole night seemed somewhat strange. There are so many conflicting reports about this incident. Some are saying something was ‘off’ in his behaviour- (drugs?), others say he was drunk, some say he was being chased by the paps etc..
I took a look at some video today.. i think it was the Britney infested x17 site (gag) and it did seem as though he was trying to walk away from the scene of the accident but like ‘whatever’ said we can’t be quite sure for his reasons.
Just glad that nobody was seriously hurt.

There has to be more to this story! He just gets out of the car and starts booking it down the road?!?!? WTH? I have been in a few accidents and yes you get shaky but the first thing I did was look in the back seat like Oh My God is everyone ok? That girl was gushing blood from her head and he was running down the street to leave. That is an asshole move. A childhood friend my ass. He got caught in some bullshit that I am sure will come out in the next few weeks.
this whole thing is fishy. i’d think if he was sloshed the cops would have smelled it and tested him, or they would have given him the “eye” test (to see if they bounce). why do these rich fuckers drive if they are under the influence?? for real, pay a pap $200 bucks to take your ass home if you can’t find another driver!

Paparazzi are a-holes. Orlando is a mature, responsible, kind human who did the right thing.
We’ve all seen what being chased by the Paps will do to anyone famous (ie. Diana), poor Orlando. I feel bad that he was put in this situation. He was better off in London I’m afraid

I met someone over the summer who was part of the crew on the POTC movie(s). He got to meet both Johnny Depp and Orlando… he said Orlando was a Hollywood snob and Depp was the nicest guy. I believe it. Who the hell walks away from an accident like that? There’s no excuse, and no solid reason that could have possibly compelled him to walk away from his friends… it’s thoughtless and self-absorbed. My instinct, like my2cents, is to check that everyone else in the car is okay and then call for help. Then it’s just a matter of assessing the situation (damages, whatever) and waiting for help to arrive. I mean, he left two (or was it three?) of his friends behind looking a bit shell-shocked… and one obviously not doing too good (either drunk or a gash on the head, I couldn’t tell– either way, there’s no excuse to just amble off). How crazy is it that the paps were the ones that persuaded him to go back!
I am sure there is a reason he walked off, but I doubt we’ll find out. I heard he walked away but didn’t believe it til I saw this video. I am shocked! The only accident I’ve ever been in was scary and I was stunned, but I didn’t get out of the car and leave. I called my husband and then the cops and waited til they all got there. There is something more to this story….just sayin…
