Connor Cruise is off to boot camp –for movies!
Tom Cruise’s 14-year-old son has reportedly signed on to star in a remake of the 1984 action war drama Red Dawn. Military training will begin in a few weeks.
The film, which co-stars Isabel Lucas, starts shooting next month in Detroit and is due out September 2010.
This isn’t Connor’s first foray into film — he played a young Will Smith in last year’s Seven Pounds.

Sick of all the effin remakes. God, enough already. Also I know Conner is adopted, but I can see an honest resemblence there. Had Tom slept with an African American woman the child might look like Conner. How cool would that have been? He’s a handsome kid too.
