AMERICAN JOURNALISTS SET FOR RELEASE FROM NORTH KOREAN PRISON

clinton

Some good news to report: Former President Bill Clinton’s has been able to successfully negotiate the freeing of two journalists detained in the communist country.

ABC News reports Kim Jong Il pardoned Laura Ling and Euna Lee and ordered their release from a local prison earlier today (August 4).

The two American journalists were arrested earlier this year after straying into the country while reporting on the Chinese-North Korean border. They were convicted and sentenced to 12 years hard labour in June.

In exchange, North Korea has two demands: a visit from a high-profile emissary and an apology.

UPDATE: Laura’s sister Lisa Ling tells the Los Angeles Times that the family cannot yet comment.

“Everything is just so delicate,” she says. “We’re going to wait it out a while longer. We’re on pins and needles.”

    Great job, President Clinton!

Bush’s response to journalists imprisoned in North Korea would be to invade Portugal.

Wow this is amazing news! Clinton has really done something great. To be honest, aside from his inability to keep it in his pants, he wasn’t a bad President. He just turned himself into a joke. I’ve heard nothing but good things from him since the end of his term.

Mike needs to do some research on Mahmoud and Kim Jong Il.
It is chilling when you see it in their own words.
Don’t expect the Main Stream Media (Obama Media)
to tell you, for hell will freeze over.

do any of you ‘diplomatic’ freaks care that a democratic revolution took place in iran and honduras and our prez was too busy dryhumping mahmoud and fidel to notice or even care?
i mean, two (2) opportunities for ‘peaceful regime change’ were handed to hussein (obama) on a platinum platter and he did absolutely nothing.
how about this, brag about diplomacy when it actually accomplishes something meaningful.
then again, democratic protesters in honduras and iran absolutely hate obama now, so maybe something was accomplished.

Weakness and appeasement is the reason Russian Nuclear subs are at this moment patrolling the eastern coast of America as we post on gossip sites.
    Act of aggression no.
