Latest on late-night: CBS’s Late Show with David Letterman averaged 3.3 million viewers last week, pulling ahead of ABC’s Nightline (3.2 million), while NBC’s Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien hit another record low with 2.5 million, down from 2.7 million last week.
O’Brien remained on top in the coveted 18-49 demographic, with 1.3 million to Letterman’s 1 million.
This is Dave’s third week ahead of Conan.

Ever since the Plain broughaha, Dave is funny again. Conan is a train wreck.
So Dave has record high ratings, and Sarah Palin quit her job.
Guess Sarah and her supporters really showed him!
I love Conan and think he’s funny. Craig Ferguson is even funnier. DL isn’t funny, just grumpy. If I wanted to see grumpy I’d wake up my grandpa by poking him with a stick.
Conan’s monologue sucks…For years I’ve been looking forward to him taking over this timeslot from Leno, but it seems his writers didn’t follow him to LA cause the new show’s jokes are lame. 99% of the jokes are political in nature (and repetitive), and mostly seem to bash the right. (Which I would actually enjoy if they were at least funny!) There are so many other ridiculous stories out there in the news that he could be cracking jokes about.
Where’s the old Conan? What happened? I’m giving him one more week, then I’m done.
