T.R. Knight explains why he left Grey’s Anatomy in the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly.
So why’d he do it? T.R. appeared for just 48 minutes in the first nine episodes of Season 5.
“There just comes a time when it’s so clear that moving on is the best decision,” he says. He said he had a “breakdown in communication” with creator Shonda Rhimes and says he asked to be let out of his $14 million contract three years early.
“My five-year experience proved to me that I could not trust any answer that was given (about his character, George),” add Mr. Knight, who says George evolved into someone he didn’t understand or even respect.
T.R. also resented his noticeable lack of screen time. “It didn’t seem like an ebb to me,” he says. “No other series regular’s character had ever disappeared like mine did this past season.”

Loser. So this whiny gay gets no screen time and walks away from $13 mil. to secure his financial future with his 18 year old BF?
Bitch should take what he can get cuz I doubt he’ll get another HIGH-profile gig like Grey’s.
I see him on Logo & Lifetime gay movie specials, that’s it.
Well maybe if he came out of the closet on the
show and had make love scenes with his boy toy
that would be better ..instead he ruined Isaih
Washington’s career .. he could of taken it like
a man a just came out of the closet.. This loser
will be like all the other tv stars who think that they can make it big time only to have off
broadway plays …now that is talking about
disappearing who is going to see him than JUST
HIS 18 YEAR OLD BOYFRIEND WHO WILL BE A WAITER
AT A RESTUARANT IN NEW YORK ..
I’m so glad he’s miserable about his role in GA.
He got dr. preston burke kicked out of the show, which turned into steaming whiny sh*t. And now he’s the one leaving haha. bue bye O’malley.
Karma is a BIATCH!
Seriously, I only watched it for Burk and Christina… without them, everyone was just so needy and selfish. not worth watching.
