KATIE AND SURI EXPLORE THE BUSH

Joined by co-star Bailee Madison, actress Katie Holmes offered her daughter Suri a taste of th outback as they explore the Australian bush while filming Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark in in Melbourne, Australia today (July 22).

While 30-year-old Katie went for the layered look in her full-length parka and winter boots, three-year-old Suri made a fashion statement in pink leggings and a knit sweater.

It’s winter in Australia. That said, it’s interesting how she never dressed the kid in a coat in the winter in New York though. She had her in short sleeved dresses and carrying a blankee.

Yeah it’s winter in Australia at the moment. It’s funny how people have an image that Australia is always sunny and hot, but winter can get pretty cold…especially in Melbourne! Suri should definately have a coat and tights on. She is such a little cutie…she is going to grow up to look just like her mother. Katie seems to be really great with Suri and it’s nice to see she enjoys spending time with her.

I’m amazed that suri’s dressed like a normal kid in pants and not in a $700 dress.
