Producer Jermaine Dupri deejayed at the Underground Chicago Nightclub in Chicago, IL last night (July 19).
He didn’t mention Janet Jackson or his reported break-up with the pop star, but he did perform tribute to her brother Michael, playing a medley of his songs, alongside Kid Cudi’s Day and Night, En Vogue’s Never Gonna Get It and many others.
Meanwhile, it appears that Jermaine dumped Janet in her time of need — but there is still a chance for reconciliation between the two.
“Jermaine has decided to take a step back and cool things off but they aren’t totally broken up,” a source tells Fox News, adding that keeping his distance from the press and Jackson family is his way of dealing with death and tragedy. “They will be back together in full force very soon.”
Janet and Jermaine’s romance reportedly turned sour last September when Janet’s Dupri-produced album Discipline flopped and she was then released from her contract with label.
