Retail therapy clearly had a positive effect on Anne Hathaway.
Rocking her trendy high-waisted short shorts, the 27-year-old actress was all smiles in New York’s upscale Soho district today (July 18) following a shopping spree at Bloomingdales with a male companion.
Anne is currently playing Viola in the Twelfth Night at Central Park’s Delacorte Theatre and during a recent show she reportedly treated theatregoers to pizza after they waited in line to see her perform in the Shakespearean production.
Tickets for the performance are free and based on a first come, first served basis, while some enthusiasts have waited all night to catch the play for the next evening, E! Online reports. Miss Hathaway apparently handed out slices of pizza to those in the line at 3 AM on Sunday morning.

Yes I don’t think we have to worry about her having a relationship with her ‘male companion’…he looks as camp as camp can be! Anne really needs to learn how to dress though, her legs look incredibly ugly in this outfit. I know she likes to embrace the pale, but just the hint of a tan wouldn’t hurt.
