Looking more and more like a young Tom Cruise, hunky actor Zac Efron was snapped taking some scuba lessons in Vancouver, BC yesterday (July 16).

Cald in a wetsuit and his trademark aviator sunglasses, the 21-year-old star was learning a few underwater skills for his upcoming movie The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud.

Zac is reteaming with his 17 Again director Burr Steers on the big screen adaptation of Ben Sherwood’s novel by the same name.

The book is about caretaker at a cemetery who manages to have weekly meetings with a younger brother’s ghost whose accidental death he feels was his fault.

The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud is the flick that Zac dropped out of the much-hyped Footloose remake for.

Expect a 2010 release date.
