Meanwhile, Ashlee has been busy in recent months working on the upcoming Melrose Place reprise, but it appears she’ll soon give singing another go.
Papa Joe Simpson is reportedly urging his daughter to come out with an album of Michael Jackson hits.
According to the New York Post: “Joe Simpson, never one to miss an opportunity, is trying to revive Ashlee Simpson’s record career by pitching a concept album on which Ashlee would record songs of Michael Jackson.”
We have a feeling this would do absolutely nothing to revive Ashlee’s career. But then — can anything at this point?

ashlee has already “tweeted” that those are just rumours and she is not going to record any MJ material. lets be honest - that is fantastic news!
He’s a really huge baby. Ashlee looks so tiny next to him, I’m surprised she can carry him. I hope that her recording MJ stuff is a rumor…it would be a disaster. I can’t really see her doing it though, she seems to want to be taken seriously as an artist and isn’t that desperate for attention. Her sister is a different story though, Jessica would pounce on an opportunity to record MJs hits.
I would not ever buy or listen to anything AShlee does to sing zmj’s songs… ugh!!!! please maybe somebody else but surely not her non singing behind, she probable didnt even like him in the first place!! please!!
