Looks like Courtney Love isn’t the only one at the Britney Spears pity party.Appearing on ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ today, Sinead O’Connor, who suffers from bipolar disorder and attempted suicide when she was 33, says her heart goes out to embattled mother.
“She had two babies within the space of two years, (there) doesn’t seem like a terrible amount of support from the people around her,” says O’Connor said. “I think to attack someone as a mother is very dangerous. I would say that’s what puts a young girl on a precipice which is very, very dangerous, in my opinion. Some people may end up really regretting the way they’re treating her.”
She adds: “I think it’s terrible what the media are doing to her here. I feel so sorry for celebrities in this country [the United States]. It’s absolutely impossible to live a normal life being followed around, poor girl. We all mess up, don’t we, as moms. We never always get it right.”

There no support of people around BECAUSE THE STUPID SKANK PUSHED THEM ALL AWAY. Miserable bitches like Sinead making excuses for Shitney’s behavior is the reason she’s so fucked up now. STOP EXCUSING HER BEHAVIOR. How many women in America (hell, the WORLD) have babies back-to-back and STILL manage to be good parents (who have less support and resources than britney). Pleeeeease. She has constantly shown that she doesn’t give a shit about anyone - least of all, those two babies of hers.
And while we’re talking about “leaving britney alone” I might add that Sinead should give Britney a call and tell her to leave the drugs alone, leave the alcohol alone and LEAVE THE PAPARAZZI ALONE because she is addicted to ALL OF IT.

^and it is VERY possible to be a celebrity and be a good parent (Madonna is bigger than Britney will EVER be - she’s a mother-fucking legend and SHE managed to have her career, have her kids, keep the paparrazi at a reasonable distance and take good care of herself).

It’s no accident there’s a swarm of paparazzi everywhere she goes. She LOVES the attention. I will never have sympathy for her. ^What in the hell Renee? And to Season please explain how you could have two children in a span of one year when the gestation period for a human is 9 months. You could have two babies in like 20 months if you wait the 6 weeks after the 1st one to have sex again. I agree with what Sinead is saying and it is very well said. BUT, Britney is a little different because she is not just messing up as far as her parenting skills. She has some kind of addiction and mental illness thing going on. I have made mistakes with my kids also but they were like how to go about taking the bottle away. I have never snorted cocaine or been drunk in front of them or almost dropped them on a city street because I was carrying a water glass, or drove around my hood with one of them on my lap, or had them endlessly hounded by photogs because I won’t just eat in my million dollar mansion, or….. Well you get the point.
I understand what Sinead is saying and to the casual observer it does look like Britney is being hounded by the press for just trying to have a social life and be a mother and still work and yeah, admittedly there has been some really overly harsh press (like her so called plan to assassinate K-Fed?!) BUT to someone who looks a lot closer and I’m not saying we know her back to front but we’ve seen what she is reeally doing. She’s acting up for the cameras, she’s irresponsible and attention seeking AND she’s clearly in need of a therapist. The only person who can help Britney is her and she clearly doesn’t think she needs to do that.

I like Sinead, but she looks beat.
She need’s encouragement before she can doing anything to help herself. I dont hate Britney because I used to be a big fan of hers. But there are days where she makes me ill-temperered and days where I feel sorry for her. I just hope people can start encouraging her rather than judging her. Everyone knows her faults and it’s quite obvious at this point on what those faults are. It’s time to help her.

I guess that makes sense if you are just looking at the birth. I was thinking about the pregnancy as a whole. That would be hell on your body because you would literally have to get pregnant while you were still healing from the last one. Gross.
If Sinéad lived in the States, the controversy surrounding the birth one of her children would have been more of a stinker. “Doing” a guy who’s married and has a toddler is not that cool. Not even if he’s one of the legends of Irish music. She needed a paternity test because she herself had no clue who the dad was. But I suppose that has to do with the bipolar issue too. Not.
No one forced her to get pregnant again so quickly. Guess neither of them was smart enough to use birth control, big surprise. The kids are the ones who get my sympathy. Both sides of the family are totally effed up and unfit to care for them, including their grandparents. In an ideal world that really cares about the welfare of children, neither Spears nor Federline would ever have been allowed to breed.

I think Britney wanted Sean, but JJ was an accident. Why she had the baby is beyond me……I guess she doesn’t believe in abortion, but I think she wouldn’t have gone over the edge, if she only had the one.
I totally agree with Sinead. To call somebody a bad mother when you’ve never ever MET her is just ridiculous. I bet if something happened to Britney all the magazines that were the culprits in pushing her over the edge would be acting like they had loved her for years. She gets it worse than anybody else in the world and I don’t see how anybody can judge her until they see how they would act in her position.
first time parents sometimes are so in love with their newborns and the love, and the idyllic sleeping on the crib postcard scenery that they make a snap decision to have another one right away because they’re so precious. taking care of two is a whole new ballgame, it’s harder as they get older, and if someone like britney who probably never babysat a day in her life suddenly finds herself having to take care of 2 toddlers…well…DUH! i mean what was she thinking? remember the days when she said she wanted to have “lots and lots of babies!”
