Drew Barrymore and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Long were looking very much on-again while shooting Going the Distance yesterday afternoon (July 13) on location in New York City.

While the pair were busying hurrying up and waiting between scenes, they shared laughs and gazed into one another’s eyes seemingly unaware of the crew around them.

Meanwhile, for the upcoming flick — about the trials and tribulations of a long-distance relationship — Drew will spend a week in a real newsroom.

Drew’s character works at fictional newspaper the New York Sentinel, but will be filming the scenes at news agency Associated Press. Newsgathering will continue around her as usual by reporters.

The New York Daily News, which is based in the same Manhattan office building as AP’s headquarters, will also play a part in the film, appearing as a fictional rival newspaper to the Sentinel.
