It may have been a quiet Sunday afternoon, but Ryan Phillippe and his girlfriend Abbie Cornish were clearly not done partying the weekend away.
Doing their best to keep a low profile, the lovebirds hid behind sunglasses and kept their heads down after stopping by the liquor store in West Hollywood today (July 12) to pick up booze.
But it’s all play and no work for Mr. Phillippe. Along with Val Kilmer, the actor may star in a full-length adaptation of MacGruber, Will Forte’s recurring sketch parody about an easily distracted MacGyver-type guy on SNL.
Ryan would play an Army colonel who recruits the jaded MacGruber (Will) for a mission to stop a nuclear-armed villain, played by none other than Mr. Kilmer.
Kristin Wiig will reprise her supporting role, Lorne Michaels will producer, and Jorma Taccone, who directed most of the skits on SNL, will helm the flick.

If this were Jake and Reese the comment would be so different. It would be like “the undercover lovebirds obviously have a romantic rendezvous planned for their day”.

These two are getting to look like an old married couple, no more hand holding, and of course no smiling. Two people buying some smokes and a couple of bottles of booze is not exactly note worthy. But I do like seeing them. They crack me up, with their lack of regard for style in their personal lives. Here’s Abbie wearing boots in the summer and although for once Ryan has on pants that fit, he lets them tuck into his shoes. Definitely two who don’t consult stylists.
I agree they are a very boring couple. They smoke, drink and party.
At least they aren’t drunk like Reese Witherspoon was on Sunday night.
